The Koran Summary

Sura 2
The Cow

This sura tells stories of Adam, Moses, and Abraham, on the nature of battle in Islam, and dealing with the subject of warfare. There are verses that seem to prohibit interest on loans. It urges Jews and pagans of Madina to become Muslim. It also warns them of the wrath God had past on those who failed to listen to his call.

Sura 4
The Woman

The Woman sura deals exclusively with woman, their rights, and obligations. It outlines requirements of modesty including the requirement of wearing the hijab. It also goes legal and ethical matters like the inheritance law and marriage. It encourages the adoption of orphans and also seems to speak of a controversial subject of polygamy. It describes Allah’s forgiveness. It also goes into forbidding insist in general and describes all woman who would be considered to have insist relations with. All other woman who is not described is ok to have relations with provided that they are married. It describes how Allah has made men superior to woman and they have to submit. If a woman does not submit it instructs men what to do; first they should counsel them, 2nd refuse to share their beds, and last beat them.


Sura 16
The Honey Bee

Within this sura warns against worshiping multiple gods because they cannot create anything. It also warns against any comparison between any created being and Allah. The wonders of the natural world are proofs of Allah’s infinite power. Allah cares for man and provides for his growth. Evil does not have power over those who believe and trust in Allah. He will judge us by our faith and deeds.


Sura 75
The Rising of the Dead, Resurrection

Man was created with a purpose and with that was given responsibility. Judgment day will come so you must follow the straight path. Those who do will beam with brightness and beauty. However if you do not follow the straight path dying will be a terror because of the sins committed.


Sura 87
The Most High, Glory to Your Lord In The Highest

This sura seems to have a purpose of reminding us that Allah knows everything including things that we hide from each other and from ourselves. Man can reach purification and perfection if he follows the ordered steps set forth by Allah this is the Eternal Goal.
